How Invisalign Works

Invisalign users get a set of custom-made clear trays that they change every few weeks. The next new clear tray in the series replaces the older one, causing the teeth to gently and gradually shift over time.
If you decide that Invisalign is right for you, we will take digital pictures of your teeth and use a software program to make a 3-D model using the images. From that an orthodontic treatment plan using Invisalign clear braces is established to shift your teeth into the desired position.
The Invisalign company will then use your orthodontist’s plan to construct a series of plastic trays that are molded to fit over your teeth. You may have an upper and/or lower Invisalign plastic tray depending on your treatment plan. The trays are worn for at least 22 hours each day and every two weeks you will then switch to the next set of trays that continue shifting the teeth toward a beautiful smile.
